Legal Question in Business Law in Colorado
How can I make it legal to have a parent company LLC with 2 or more divisions below it (using a different name for each division)? Do I need to set up an LLC for each one but use the parent company's name as the owner?
1 Answer from Attorneys
Whether this makes sense at all requires more facts about this line of business, your taxation situation, if this is a multi-person venture, your long term goals, so on. You should contact an attorney to discuss this matter and review the best structure. Unless you have expert knowledge of the tax and legal ramifications of entity selection and formation, it is easy to make a costly mistake.
