Legal Question in Business Law in Colorado
Partnership distribution bonus withheld
As a market partner, if our restaurant does well we get a monthly bonus. Our regional manager is angry because I have to spend time out of the restaurant to get supplies and feels I need to be there more. He has claimed that he is going to revoke my monthly bonus. We are making our numbers and have the highest bonus of all of the regional biz's. The employees at the other restaurants got the same speach, but they are not partners, so they do not have bonus' to take away. Can he do this?

Re: Partnership distribution bonus withheld
Afternoon,
Sorry to hear about the problems. Unfortunately, it is impossible to say what this "regional manager" can and cannot do without a review of the partnership agreement.
Contact a business attorney to review the agreement and advise you on your rights. Good luck.
