Legal Question in Business Law in Colorado
Securing what I am promised
A business owner in TX. wants me to come work for him. I live in CO. and want protection legally in what he promises me. He wants to start me as an employee and after six months I will acquire a percentage of the company. How do I have him put it on paper so it is legal and will hold up in court if something happens? He is offering me a salary, company car, company phone, company housing. Then in six months a percentage of the company. Thank you very much.

Re: Securing what I am promised
You should have the employer sign an employment agreement with all the promises spelled out, including the term of employment and what must be proved for them to terminate the agreement.
