Legal Question in Business Law in Colorado
Starting a newspaper
I am starting a newspaper in the Denver metro area that will report on local, national and global issues. In addition, readers will have an opportunity to contribute. Aside from business formation, what legal issues should I be concerned with?

Re: Starting a newspaper
Afternoon,
First and foremost, as you note, should be appropriate entity selection, business maintenance and agreements.
As to your business, you would need publishing contracts, work made for hire agreements, licensing agreements, collaboration and vendor matters, possible agency agreements and appropriate agreements and policies on attaining permissions and licenses. If you will have a website, the issues multiple.
Good luck. Contact an attorney.
