Legal Question in Business Law in Colorado

I work for a residential cleaning company in Loveland, CO. I have many questions.

My boss seems really unorganized and runs this cleaning business out of her garage. She tells us she'll have the schedule for the next week by Thursday. Sometimes she doesn't even have it by Friday when I leave for the weekend so then I have to ask her on Sunday what my schedule is for the week!

1.Is there a law that management has to have the schedule done a certain amount of time before the next work week?

I use my own car to get to the houses that I'm scheduled to clean. We get paid gas mileage of .30 per mile on the way to the house but not on the way back when we sometimes NEED to go back to her house to return checks. This is a 3 part question...

2. I couldn't find any information online but is .30 per mile legal for reimbursement in Colorado? Is not paying mileage on the way back legal? What if I get hurt in a accident on the way home and it's not my fault...would I get workers comp?

I accidentally broke a microwave plate while I was washing it in the sink. She sent me the invoice and said I needed to pay for it because her husband lost his job so she can't afford it (which is a personal problem).. on the company website it says "Additional benefits for your peace of mind Family Cleaning Services is fully insured and bonded, providing liability and property damage coverage and all other applicable forms of insurance coverage."

3. Do I really need to pay for the broken plate?
