Sorry about the termination. As a general rule, to get unemployment you must become unemployed through no fault of your own. A claim of theft is a basis to deny your unemployment. As for your other question on filing suit, a possible basis is defamation. They would have a defense if the information is true. Defamation is a complex and rather fact-specific area and there is no way to determine here what if any claim you could have.
