Annullment of international marriage

i was married internationally and i have been with my spouse for about 3 to 4 weeks (in person). He is continually asking for money and a wife should do i sent it. Now that i refuse to send any more he has disappeared. ? fraud Can i get this marriage annulled?

I don't know what you mean when you say you were married internationally. By phone? By email? It may be that you were never legally married.

If you did go through a civil or religious ceremony (in person) contact the clerk of the court in the county where it happened. An annulment because of fraud would require you to have relied upon some fraudulent act or representation by your husband. I suppose there's a case if he lied about loving you and only wanted your money, though many people marry for money. If he's disappeared and doesn't show up to contest an annulment, you may be fine. If there is no ground for annulment, you can divorce him for the usual (and only) reason in Colorado: that the relationship is irretrievably broken. If he remains invisible, sounds like a slam dunk.

Otherwise, forget about the creep, and cheer up: your marriage lasted three to four times longer than some rock stars I know.
