Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Colorado
automobile repair
A quote was given in the amount of $1,200 for a new drive shaft for an 86 bmw 325e, the repair made and payment made. When we went to pick up the car, we were told that there is a rod going out in the engine. Shouldn't they have discovered that while making the other repair & informed us first before replacing the drive shaft & taking $1,200. Can we legally get our money back?

Re: automobile repair
Probably needs a new paint job, too, but you would have a case only if the mechanic both knew beforehand of the second needed repair, and it affected the usefulness of the repair that was done.
