Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Colorado
civil law
I have an ongoing problem with my neighbor, who has been issued a kennel licence by the town that we live in. My problem is that I have complained about her animals being at large and on my property many times to the local authorities, who seem reluctant to act. Recently her dogs were on my property and I threatened to shoot them,And she replied that she was going to shootme. I had my wife call 911 and we filed a criminal complaint regarding these threats. She responding by having the county judge(who is a good friend of hers) issue a restraining order against me. The restraining order itself doesn't bother me, but as it affects my right to a concealed carry permit in Colorado, I am very upset by this. I have filed complaints against the county judge, citing bias and his personal relationship with the woman who applied for the restraining order. My question is, what else should I be doing and who should I contact, as I believe this judge has acted illegally as well as unethically?
Thank You,

Re: civil law
To tell you the truth, I'm not so sure that it's a bad thing to disarm a man so intemperate as to threaten to shoot the next dog who pees on his lawn.
That said, you can certainly contest the restraining order. If you think the judge is bent you can contact the Judicial Discipline Commission.
Good luck, and keep your powder dry and locked away, at least for the time being.
