Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Colorado
Civil law
My son is currently being held at the Denver County Jail. He has been falsely accused and has been attacked by a police dog. My sons girlfriend father is a detective for JeffersonCounty. He has been persistent about breaking up my son and his daughter. He has taken it to an extreme, where he has falsely put charges on my son for burglary, when my son has never even step a foot in his house (I think he has charge him with theft of a ring that his daughter gave my son). He was attacked by a police dog even though my son put his hands up and was in no way resisting arrest. My son states he saw her father there smiling at him. From my understanding there are witnesses that seen this attack happen. My son was badly mauled by this dog, from the bites he showed me you can tell the dog was on him for awhile, he also states they were taunting him while the dog was biting him and was refusing to release the dog even though the people around him was also asking them to please release the dog. I feel this dective has over stepped his authority. I am also in fear for my son safety, since who knows what he will do next time when my son gets out of jail.

Please call or contact me at my private email address about your question. This detective sounds like he should be the one in jail.
