Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Colorado

Discrimination Case

I was recently terminated from my employer of five years because I'm transgender. I was an outstanding employee with many awards and recognition throughout the company for the five years I worked with them. This is a Fortune 500 company that I worked for, and when I couldn't hide the changes of my ''Transition'' period, I notified my Human Resource department. I was fired the next day. I'm looking to pursue a law civil action lawsuit against my former employer. Due to not having the adequate income I previous had, I'm in need of an attorney to take this case on a contingency basis. I've contact many different attorneys with this issue and they have all agreed I have a very strong case, however I cannot finically pay their rates at this time and I know there is a short timeframe in filing a lawsuit for this purpose. If anyone here might know of an attorney that can take this case, please advise.

Thank you.

Re: Discrimination Case

You may find great value in contacting the federal Equal Employment Opportunity Commission [EEOC]. They are the experts in dealing with employment discrimination cases, including those having a basis such as you describe.
