Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Colorado

discrimination

My son was ineligible to go to prom. He took his date out to dinner and a movie and then escorted her to the dance. They arrived at the dance with only an hour and a half left. When he got there he saw that there were two other students there that were ineligible as well so he went in. As soon as he walked in he was told to leave but nothing was said to the other students until I called the superintendent at home. Half an hour later the other two were told they had to leave as well (they had been at the dance for three hours already). Is this discrimination and would we have a case if we were to file charges against the school district?

Re: discrimination

Unless there are factors involved you have not mentioned, that would not be a case that could be filed by an attorney in good faith, nor a case you should waste your time and feelings on. And I guess if I were you I'd wonder about whether ratting out the other two students was the right thing to do.
