Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Colorado
False Imprisonment
I was arrested for domestic violence because I was accused of striking a household member- no physical evidence, no contact from any law enforcement agency to ask for my side of the story-just her saying I hit her. Case was dismissed with prejudice. Was this action a violation of my rights? Thank you.

You may have a suit in slander, and on the criminal side there could be a charge of false reporting to the police, depending on the facts.
