Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Colorado

How to legaly get someone to leave me alone?

My parents who i haven't seen in over 2 years have been sending letters to my son. My husband sent a letter back to them to leave our son alone. Our son is a infant.... They continue. How do we legally make them stop?

You could petition the court for a restraining order. But the simplest, and probably best, thing to do is to ignore them, unless they contain threatening or disturbing content that would make you fear for the safety of your son, or you; toss the letters in the trash unopened. Your parents will eventually quit; even the fiercest storm blows itself out.

Good luck.
