pro se representative
as a pro se plaintiff in federal court on a civil rights matter, can i have someone, not an attorney speak on my behalf at trial?

No. Only licensed and admitted attorneys may represent others in court proceedings. You may, however, present witnesses to testify on your behalf who are not attorneys, and they will be subject to direct and cross examination.
