how long do you have to sue someone in regular court or civil court in colorado.

Until they give up and offer you a handsome settlement.

Generally, you have three years, after the date some wrong was discovered, or should have been discovered, to file a civil suit. But certain actions have shorter, or longer, statutes of limitation.
