Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Colorado
summons
We recieved a summons to appear. the court was not open on the date and time required on the summons. the judge had a personal ? and didn't show up. should the case be dismissed? it wasn't instead the court issued an arrest warrent for failure to appear? Isn't that unconstitutional?

Re: summons
If the date was for a time court was not in session, the next date it is in session applies. It is up to the defendant to figure that out. But call the court clerk, explain your confusion, promise to appear at the first available date, and ask if they would please suspend the warrant until that new date.
Good luck.
