Dishonest signature on W-9 Form

I have an LLC that i am the sole owner. I submitted a W-9 with a signature that was not my normal signature but a scribble, so that i could keep my identity as the owner of this LLC a secret. Everything provided on the W-9 was correct. Did I violate any laws?

Re: Dishonest signature on W-9 Form

So long as you make no attempt to disavow your signature as attesting to the information, you could have signed it "Zorro" without violating any laws. An illegible signature is not an invalid signature. If at any time you claim the signature is not yours, you are committing tax fraud.
