I wanted to know if i was an illegal immigrant, could i turn my self in and not get deported?

No. (If that were the case, millions of undocumented aliens would simply turn themselves in and get to stay, don't you think?)

(Consider your terms, though. No person is "illegal". Entering the country illegally does not make the person illegal.)

On the other hand, there have been various amnesty programs available, typically for people from certain countries, to allow them to come forward and begin a process toward legalization of their status. I'm not an immigration attorney and cannot advise you on that.

It certainly is possible. There are available, for example, waivers of deportability, cancelations of removal, suspensions of deportation, adjustments of status to permanent resident, asylum, legalization and registry, and (though I'm guessing you don't want this) voluntary departure.
