Legal Definition of contract terminology
Does the word ''execute'' in a controlling declaration imply the absolute need that signatures be notarized on a document to make the document legal and binding?

A well written contract is unlikely to imply anything; if it requires a notarized signature it will state that in its terms. Absent that, your signature on a contract is an execution. Whether it is binding is what lawyers, judges, and juries are for.
