Legal Question in Constitutional Law in Colorado

Police nor Hotel: offers privacy or confidentiality!

Many local hotels in Aurora, Co provide a ''guest registry'' every night to the local Police department. In turn the Police cross reference that ''list'' through their on databases (NCIC) (CBI) and arrest the patron, if information presents itself and allows them too. This seems to me to be a total violation of our right to privacy, and I would think that there would be some sort of confidentiality law protecting the patrons! Thanks for listening!

Re: Police nor Hotel: offers privacy or confidentiality!

Many motels have signs prohibiting backing cars into parking spaces. Ever wonder why? So law enforcement can cruise by and run NCIC checks on license plates.

One has no constitutionally-protected right of privacy in motel registration information.

Never put anything down on a registration card you don't want law enforcement to know about.
