Legal Question in Construction Law in Colorado
What will happen?
My boyfriend was hired in Colorado Springs as a unlicense contractor, his boss (Head Contractor) knew my boyfriend was unlicensed and told him it was ok and made him sign a paper stating that my boyfriend was licensed. My boyfriend worked for his boss for a year and build 5 houses with help from 3 other unlicensed contractors. All 5 houses went through inspections and passed. Now the boss is suing my boyfriend for $500,000 and working without a contractors license. What will happen when they go to court?

Afternoon,
Your boyfriend must talk to an attorney. If this is for $500,000, this must be in district court, which is complex.
I also don't understand why he is being sued for $500,000. Are the homeowners suing the boss and now he is suing your boyfriend because the work was defective? You will need to provide much more facts and a copy of this contract to have an idea of the defenses or possible counterclaims.
He needs to contact an attorney now. Good luck.
