Legal Question in Consumer Law in Colorado
I took my antique car to the auto body repair shop and paid 4500 in advance for parts. Mechanic/owner said he was busy on a project and since I was in no hurry agreed. That was a year ago. Now I am asking to come get my car and parts since he is never getting around to doing the work. He now is saying that I owe him storage (my car has been sitting outside in his junkyard this whole time). He is holding my parts until I pay him for storage but storage fees were never invoiced, contracted or discussed. I want my parts. What can I do?

You can sue in small claims court for the return of the money you paid for the parts that you never received.
