Legal Question in Consumer Law in Colorado

I had an issue with a security guard. My intention is to file a very strong formal complaint with the company he works for; possibly a civil complaint. The first thing I wish to do is gain an understanding of what I believe to be the section of code within Colorado state law that regulates security guards; Article 5, Chapter 42. 1. Am I correct about the section of code? 2. I have Googled myself silly trying to find the laws regulating security guards and the security industry in Colorado. Can you help?

Statutes have a Title, Chapter and Article. You need all three in order to cite a state statute.

I am not aware of any state law regulating security guards. Under state law, security guards have the same rights and responsibilities as any other non-law enforcement citizens. I know Denver does have licensing for security guards and I believe Aurora might as well. Perhaps you are talking about a city ordinance?
