Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Colorado

Debt Collection

Suite was filed in Colorado for credit card debt now being held by a debt collection agency. Filling law firm is associated with the debt collection agency. I have been living in Texas for over a year and do not have the ability to go to colorado for a hearing on the owed debt. Under the Texas Fair Debt Collection act or federal law can they garnish my wages or upon return to Colorado be arrested for a n on paid debt?

in Texas wages can only be garnished for child support...and then with difficulty...as to Colorado or any state..you can not be arrested for a debt...
