Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Colorado

Joint Bank Account

I am listed on my Mothers checking account, so if she is disabled I can pay her bills. She has added my brother to the account and he has a history of going bankrupt. Can a creditor collect any funds from my personal accounts, since we both are on my Mom's ?

Re: Joint Bank Account

An account jointly held by your mother, your

brother, and yourself could be the subject of a levy(attachment)by a creditor who was owed money

by your brother.

your brother) would not be subject to such attachment----unless you, personally, owed the

money to the creditor and proper legal procedure was followed.
