1991 Case help -- Letter just received
I justed received a letter from the Elpaso Country, Colorado on Friday. It is regarding some restitution for a felony conviction in 1991. There was still a balance bue in 1997 and when I filed for Chapter 7 Bankruptsy protection in 1997, my lawer advised me to include if in the filing - So, I did. Now, on Friday, I received a letter stating that I have 10 days from July 15 to pay the total amount of 6500.00 (The original amount was around 3300.00 so I guess they added some kind of fee) and along with the letter they advised that several things may happen from a warrant, revocation of probation, etc. I have a copy of the letter that I can send and supporting document if it will be helpful. I am currently at work now, so, I will not be able to discuss this on the telephone. Email works for the moment though - I need to call Elpaso County to discuss on Monday --- I am simply not sure what to do

If he or she is still alive, not in a coma or other debilitating condition, contact the lawyer who did your bankruptcy. You should not be charged any additional fee to get the answer to "Hey, what gives?"
Good luck.
