Legal Question in Criminal Law in Colorado
I am 18 and a month ago I got caught stealing $124.00 of items from a JcPenny's store in Grand Junction, CO. I have a court date at the Municipal Court house next week. This is the first time being in trouble. Will I go to jail?

Going to jail is the least of your worries. It is very unlikely you will go to jail. However, a criminal conviction for theft will severely hamper your future and earning capacity for a very long time. In some cases you may not get even a minimum wage job in a reputable company. Hire a good criminal defense attorney. Protecting your future is well worth what you will pay for such services.
