Legal Question in Criminal Law in Colorado

Is 3 Strikes Transferable?

My husband and I live in California; he has strikes on his criminal record here. We are planning on moving to Colorado to seek a better life, does Colorado have a ''3 Strikes'' law and if so, do the strikes from one state transfer over to any other states? Are his felonies recategorized once in another state, making them different kinds of felonies in different states? Even if we moved to a state with no 3 Strikes law, would his previous California convictions hold any weight in another states court if he were to get in trouble again? Where can I find clear and concise info about Colorados ''3 Strikes'' law or the differences between ALL the states 3 Strikes laws?

Look at CRS 18-1.3-801. It provides for life sentences if there are 2 previous felonies in any state. "A crime under the laws of any other state, the United States, or any territory subject to the jurisdiction of the United States, which, if committed within this state, would be such a felony described in paragraph (a) of this subsection (1)."
