Legal Question in Criminal Law in Colorado

7 year old crime

My husband was convicted of felony larceny in 2000, now he tried to get a sales license and was denied because of it, is there anything he could do? He was convicted and sentenced in wyoming and now lives in colorado. He served no prison time, he got 3 yrs probation.

In Colorado, there currently is no way to seal the case. However, if the conviction was in Wyoming, Wyoming law controls. There may be more relief available there. Try an atty in WY.

There is currently no procedure that I know of in either Colorado or Wyoming for the sealing or expungement of a felony conviction, though we're working on one in Colorado.

You may wish to contact the Wyoming Bar Association (just Google 'em) to see if there is a similar movement afoot in that State.

Good luck.
