Legal Question in Criminal Law in Colorado

At the age of 16, I was caught using my friends ID at the mall. I had to go to court and pay $150 dollar fine? In the state of Colorado is it considered a misdemeanor or a felony? Also woulf it be considered a criminal record? I am 18 now.

Whether or not it is a misdemeanor or a felony depends on exactly what got charged.

Yes, it counts as a criminal record. Typically though, as it occurred while you were a minor, you can try to expunge the record.

At 15, you were likely not convicted, but "adjudicated delinquent". Mr. Cassens is right. Whether it was for a "felony if committed by an adult" or a "misdemeanor if committed by an adult" depends upon the charges. In juvenile cases, you can usually expunge the record. You do have a criminal record until you get it sealed or expunged.
