Legal Question in Criminal Law in Colorado

I allowed my 13 yr. son to fight other 13 yr old [ who was hrrassing/ threating him ] my son was hurt with a broken collar bone. no injuries to other boy. after we got home from hospitol, sherrif arrived. officer asked me to step outside and asked me "if i was there/' i said yes.. officer handed me hi card with case # and told me if anything i could get charged with "child neglect" do you think the police/ da have a case to charge me with [ child neglect/child abuse??] please give me your legal advise? thak-you!

Do NOT make any further statements to police! You say that you already admitted your presence. You likely admitted your knowledge as well. Yes, the police/DA can make a case against you. You should get an attorney. You have a right to silence. Use it.
