Legal Question in Criminal Law in Colorado

arrests under an alias in the past

i would like to know how my attempt to 'seal' (or question the authority of) a misdemeanor arrest (2) in boulder colo. in 1970 (yes i pleaded guilty and sat in the county jail for half a month) might differ because it was under an alias (that wasnt recognized as such at the time) but now i find them on my record from the Fed. 'justice dept.' This petty stuff affects me going to visit my daughter ,and grandsons in Canada..TODAY, over truly petty stuff (like stealing a sandwich), over the top in punitive measures..in my view anyway. How can I challenge the 'instrument' of the 'record' itself ? can they somewhere in time have adjusted that offense to my real name without any particular requirements they may have missed? I should mention that Boulder colo. did not run fingerprints on misdemeanors at that time, so I have no idea of when it got attached to me, nor do I know if there is anything I can challenge it on. For starters, I cant afford an attorney , so I just would appreciate some help in pointing to any possible help,..if one exists at all.

File a petition to seal the record. For fill-in-the-blank forms go to http://www.courts.state.co.us/

then "forms", then "criminal" then "sealing of criminal conviction records." That's as easy as it gets.
