Re: assult
You can't and should not defend yourself, you need an attorney who knows how to present this defense on your behalf. Just as you wouldn't hesitate to hire a Dr. if you had cancer because you do not have the expertise to treat yourself, you need to hire any attorney to defend you. Good luck.
Re: assult
You answered your own question: the defense is self-defense. You could use an attorney, either appointed public defender or of your hire.
Good luck.
Re: assult
self defense is a great defense to physical assaults - it is good to have independent witnesses that can support your theory - but, this defense often relies on you
this defense is not available if you were the initial aggressor, but that does not necessarily mean who swung first
a good attorney is a great way to start
