Re: Background checks

The Company can go back as far as it wants. However, technology may curtail its search. The company can only go back as far as the computer system allows. Do the search yourself to see what's on it. For Colorado state and county cases, go to www.cocourts.com. For individual municipal cases, you will have to do a separate search through that police department or municipal court. Searches cost $6 to $10. Good luck.

Re: Background checks

Hello,

There is no legal limitation on how far back a company can go when doing a background check. If you agree to the background, the company will presumably obtain a copy of your criminal history, which will have any arrests or convictions since the age of 18. The company will see the information on the history.

Note: You may want to get a copy of your history, if you haven't already done so, to see what is on it. You can go to the police department or sheriff's office in the jurisdiction where you live and get a copy for about $5-10.

I hope this answer is helpful to you. If you have any additional questions, you can contact me at 303-321-6872. David Colt
