Bond violattion

My boyfriend is currently in custody on several charges, He has been sentenced on all of them. He was taken to court yesterday with 6 counts of bails bond violations. Can you please advise the severity of these charges?

It depends on the nature of the charges on which he was convicted. If they were felonies, conviction of a bail bond violation will make him ineligible for probation or a suspended sentence and will add at least a year to his sentence. If the charges were misdemeanors, a conviction will add at least six months.

To convict, the state must prove that he either knowingly failed to appear at some proceeding (FTA), or knowingly violated a condition of the bond.
