Legal Question in Criminal Law in Colorado
''second chance law''
I have heard of a ''second chance law'' that would seal the records of first-offense, non-violent criminals. I have also heard that this law could possibly reduce an inmate's sentence. Is this true?

Not exactly. You can seal a record if the case was completely dismissed or if you were acquitted at trial. As for shortening sentence, look at RITP, 35b, and COV reconsideration.
