Legal Question in Criminal Law in Colorado
Change a Guilty Plea
I have very little knowledge of the courts and how things are handled. An acquaintence of mine recently was charged with multiple felony counts (Related to car theft) He didn't really understand the proceedings when he appeared before the judge and when the moment came his Public Defender told him to say ''Guilty'' which he did. This was the one and only time he actually talked with his PD.
He now realizes that he is in deep trouble, and wants to try and change his guilty plea so that he has a fighting chance. The question is, Can a Guilty plea be changed?

Yes, but it is best if it is withdrawn before sentencing. If not, then the process is much harder. I can work on this for a retainer of $2000.

A guilty plea can be withdrawn prvided it is timely. Would need to know more info County, Judge, public defender?
