I was charged with 4 counts of Computer Crime, Class 2 misdemeanors, what is most likely going to happen?
1 Answer from Attorneys
Given the information provided, its hard to say. A class 2 misdemeanor carrier a punishment of 3 months to a year and/or fine of $250 to $1,000. If you decide to plea, you will have a meeting with the prosecutor to discuss you case and the prosecutor will make an offer somewhere within that range. This will be determined by you criminal history, strength of the prosecutions case, facts of the crime, and various other variables. Since the charges are misdemeanors any jail time will run concurrent and could be switched to parole or suspended.
Of course, you could always take it to trial and win with the jury and be acquitted if you have a defense
