Legal Question in Criminal Law in Colorado
No charges
I've got a friend that was arrested just recently and the judge gave the DA a five day window of what he will be charged with. When the police arrested him there was no evidence for them to arrest him and now he sits in jail waiting court again on the 28th and maybe then the DA will have figured out what he is to be charged with. Is this legal???? There is alot more to this than this question.

Re: No charges
He must not be held over 72 hours without either having bail determined or charged. If he hasn't been released or charged, get an attorney and get him out of there.
