Legal Question in Criminal Law in Colorado
Child Molestation
Three days ago my father in law was taken into custody for a warrant of failure to appear or comply with a court order. But he was initially contacted by the police department because he is being accused of molesting his granddaughter seven months ago. He has not been charged with anything related to this, but he is sitting in Jefferson County Colorado jail, even though the original warrant was for a case in Pueblo CO. How long does the court have to transfer him to pueblo, and how long do they have to press charges on him for this alleged molestation?

Re: Child Molestation
Your dad needs an attorney who is an expert in defending these type of cases, as there is no statute of limitations and he is facing a potential life sentence. He does have to be brought before a judge within 72 hours for a bail hearing. If you like, you can contact me, as I do specialize in defending these cases. Good luck.
