There are a lot of factors that can affect what you can get for a class 3 felony. The presumptive range is 4-12 years plus 5 years parole. But if it is a crime of violence, it is a mandatory 10-32 years plus parole. If it is a drug case with certain specific aggravators, you can receive as much as 16 years in prison. Also, if there are certain aggravators, such as being on probation, parole, bond, or similar such things, the sentence can go as high as 24 years. Also, a person can be eligible for probation of Community Corrections sentences depending on criminal history and the charge. Class 3 felonies are not all mandatory prison sentences, but some are. So, bottom line is there are lots of things that can effect what a person is looking at. The main one is what the charge is. The second one is any criminal record the person may have.
