Legal Question in Criminal Law in Colorado
criminal records
Does it matter if a state's police record of you does not have your first name spelled correctly(as on the birth certificate) ?. If an alias is on your police record, does it HAVE to be listed as 'alias', what if its just a name on your 'sheet'(meaning NOT cited as 'alias', just part of the 'list'?. can I contest the listing ,for purpose of either removing ,or sealing, the record?

Re: criminal records
THere are very few convictions that may be sealed. If yours is one of them, you may seal it based on the substance of the conviction, not upon whether everything is spelled correctly.
Good luck.
