Re: Damage to employers property
Assuming it was deliberate, you could be charged with criminal mischief, if the value is $500 or more, which is a class 1 misdemeanor. That carries a possibility of 6 to 18 months jail, $100 to $5000 fine. Time to make nice with the boss.
Re: Damage to employers property
If the damage is over $500, it's a felony, if under $500 a misdomeaner. Good luck.
Re: Damage to employers property
Misdemeanor Criminal mischief. If the value is over $500, expect a felony charge.
Re: Damage to employers property
The law changed on July 1, 2007, so if the total amount of damage is less than 1000, then it is now a misdemeanor instead of a felony. The damage must be knowing, not an accident. see 18-4-501
There can be drivers license consequences if underlying basis is defacing property pursuant to 42-2-125(1)(n).
