1997 I was ordered to do 24 hours of community service. I completed 26. I received a letter from the DMV in 2007 outstanding judgment against me. I called the court, they informed me of a warrant issued for my arrest for non-compliance. I went and spoke with the agency I worked for back in 1997. I received conformation that the hours had been worked. I took the proof to the court. The young lady at the courthouse stamped my document and said the warrant was quashed. I made copies of what I received from the DMV, the court, and the proof I completed the hours I had work. I sent the documents registered mail to the DMV before the cancellation date of my license posted on the letter. So two weeks ago I get pulled over. The officer tells me I have no license, he said I have an unpaid ticket. The ticket number is the same as the ticket number on the letter I received from the DMV back in February. . I am told that I owe $30 for a warrant fee. I do some research and find out that a warrant was issued back in 1998 and purged in 2001. My question is should I have received a letter 10 years ago telling me that if I didn’t take care of this that I

Your Q seems to be about warrants and notice. You ask why a warrant was issued without any notice to you. However, for the court's purposes, a warrant IS notice. The clerk should have told you about the OJW fee.
