If i was driveing someone elses car and drugs were found in the car can i be responable

"Knowing possession" is the legal standard.
That being said, as a practical matter, every police department in the state will charge you with the possession, the DA's office will assume you knew, and both will leave it up to the courts to sort out.

Possession requires 3 elements, which are 1) there were drugs in the car, 2) you knew there were drugs in the car and 3) you had control over them. The question always is, did you know about the presence of the drugs?
