Does this drop all charges?

I have been accused of class four felony theft. I just recieved a letter from the companies attorneys and it said that if i pay $250 they will drop the civil case. Does this mean i will not have to worry about the criminal side of things?

This seems to only deal with the civil case. It is unethical in Colorado to pay a civil settlement in exchange for victim not testifying in criminal court. In addition, your payment may be evidence against you at your criminal trial.

This does not mean that the victim cannot contact the DA and request deal that includes the civil case and the criminal case.

If the victim only wants $250, why is this a felony? Felony theft requires the value to be $500 or more.
