Legal Question in Criminal Law in Colorado
DV and suspeneded sentence
On Oct 27 of 2002 I was arrested for domestic violence. I was given a 2 yesr suspended sentence in conjunction with 36 weeks of anger mgmt course. I have finished the course and I am justing waiting out my suspended sentence. My question is what will happen after my 2 years are up. Will my record be wiped, as if nothing happened. If a employer or the military does a background check (want to join the national guard or reserve) will anything show up? Will I be able to say that I have no misdeanor convictions truthfully on an application?
thanks
