Legal Question in Criminal Law in Colorado
DWAI and PO violation
To start I got a D.U.I. in Limon, CO. I had no legal representative. Then in another incident I was decreed innocent but it involved alcohol that i was guilty for and I did have a legal representative for that. I lost my licence for a year unaware I could get red license I have two years probation. And 24 hours community and 60 classes 60 therapy. I am now 4months pregnant, I have serious complications. My time lines have run out on getting community done I do have 2 hours served. I am eligible for my licence but can't afford it. The alcohol facility I was going to go to is not returning calls. I don't understand why they wont accept A.A. as alcohol class, because 60 seems to be in excess for the same kind of setting. I want to get a red licence rather than pay for it all over And i also missed a PO meeting because my husband attacked me and I was in a home for abused women. He is telling me that I have to go back to limon and appear in front of the judge and that I am going away for a long time.

Re: DWAI and PO violation
You have a good story, but can you back it up?
Get:
Dr. affidavit re: your condition/complications.
(if you got the dui months ago, you'll need to justify your delay.)
Get sign in sheets (redacted) showing your regular attendance at AA. Get letter from meeting leadership saying you've attended x times. As for attack by husband, get PC affidavit showing arrest/response to fight. Get intake person to say when you checked into shelter and why you were not allowed to leave to see PO.
-Get this support or develop another story which you can back up.
