Legal Question in Criminal Law in Colorado
false reporting
My son's wife called police and reported that my wife called Excel energy and was trying to impersonate her. We tried to file false reporting charges against her ane the police officer said that they were not going to allow us to file. Do we have the right to file?

Re: false reporting
I am guessing that you are asking about the filing of criminal charges against your son's wife. The State has the exclusive right to file criminal charges. You do not. The State acts through the office of the District Attorney. Go there.
